#15 RW Michael Dec, Owen Sound Attack (OHL), 5’9” 160lbs, R, DOB 01.29.2007
Dec played a high-tempo, creatively offensive game in Owen Sound’s 7–3 win over Sarnia, bouncing back impressively from an early defensive mistake to become a key offensive contributor. His speed, puck skill, and playmaking vision made him a noticeable presence throughout the game, particularly on the power play. His game began with a costly giveaway in the defensive zone, where the puck was taken from him too easily under forecheck pressure. However, he responded later in the same shift with a strong wrap-around goal, capitalizing on his quick feet and awareness around the net. The play showed his ability to stay composed and rebound after a poor play. His skating and pace were clear assets. He used crisp crossovers and acceleration to gain separation in transition. His passing accuracy stood out as well, consistently threading tight passes through defenders and connecting with teammates in high-danger areas. On the power play, he demonstrated creativity and poise, executing a slik toe drag and displaying excellent vision to read defensive setups and create space. While his offensive instincts were a highlight, his defensive play remains an area for improvement. He can still get caught trying to force plays under pressure, leading to turnovers, and needs to strengthen his puck protection in his own zone. He demonstrated offensive flair and resilience, turning an early mistake into a statement performance. His speed, vision, and creativity on the puck were a large part of the Attack’s offence. His ability to generate chances off the rush or within structured play stood out. With refinement in defensive awareness and puck protection, Dec projects as a dynamic bottom-six winger capable of driving offence with skill and pace.

As he continues to refine his physical strength and pace, Delisle’s combination of skill, hockey sense, and versatility position him as a complete and impactful player. He has the potential to be a top-six center who can play in all situations but shines on offensively.

#81 C Beckham Edwards, Sarnia Sting (OHL), 6’1” 170lbs, L, DOB 01.06.2008
Edwards is one of the top prospects in this year’s draft, and even though his team took a beating, his skill was evident, further cementing his spot amongst the top prospects. He was one of Sarnia’s brighter spots in their 7–3 loss to Owen Sound, showcasing his high-end skating, quick release, and offensive instincts, particularly on the power play, where he scored a well-placed goal. His performance reflected his growing confidence as a puck carrier and offensive play driver. Edwards’ skating ability stood out from the opening shift. His pivots and acceleration allowed him to change direction fluidly and reach top speed almost instantly, a true 0-to-60 skater. He demonstrated excellent control when stopping and starting, maintaining balance and explosiveness in tight spaces. His speed and mobility allowed him to carry the puck through the neutral zone with poise and pace. Offensively, he showed why he’s considered one of Sarnia’s most dynamic forwards. On the power play, he positioned himself perfectly in the slot and sniped home an accurate wrist shot, showcasing precision and timing. While the shot lacked high-end power, the quick release and placement beat the goaltender cleanly. He also demonstrated strong vision and awareness, scanning the ice and identifying open lanes to either shoot or distribute. Although Edwards’ offensive skillset was evident, his defensive play and physical involvement remain areas for growth. He was not overly engaged physically and at times lost body positioning in board battles. Improving his consistency in backchecking will help round out his two-way impact. Edwards delivered a strong offensive showing highlighted by elite skating mechanics and a power play goal that demonstrated his accuracy and awareness. His ability to generate speed through crossovers, stop on a dime, and attack space makes him a constant threat in transition. As he continues to build strength and defensive reliability, Edwards projects as a dynamic, offensive-minded centre capable of driving play with pace and creativity. He has top-six potential and can shine on the power play.

#7 D Jacob Reese, Sarnia Sting (OHL), 6’0” 190lbs, R, DOB 06.08.2006
Despite Sarnia’s lopsided loss, Reese was one of the team’s most consistent and reliable players, displaying strong defensive awareness, mobility, and compete level throughout the night. The 19-year-old defenseman combined steady skating and solid positioning with a willingness to engage physically and support play in all three zones. His skating was a key strength, as he maintained good pace and fluid movement through his turns and transitions. His speed and balance allowed him to close gaps quickly. He did a good job of following the opposing players body rather than getting caught staring at the puck. He was especially sharp on the penalty kill, where he stayed composed, challenged shooters, and pressured hard along the boards. He did a good job of clearing the crease and provided a strong presence, tying up sticks and winning crucial puck battles. His physicality and determination in those situations helped limit second-chance opportunities. He also wasn’t afraid to jump into the offensive play when opportunities arose, showing good timing and awareness when activating from the blue line. Reese’s decision-making under pressure was generally sound — he made smart outlet passes and avoided risky plays in his own zone. His blend of mobility, intelligence, and compete gave Sarnia some much-needed stability on the back end in an otherwise difficult matchup. He played dependable, two-way game that showcased his defensive reliability, skating strength, and high hockey IQ. His ability to control gaps, win battles, and make composed decisions under pressure made him one of Sarnia’s most trustworthy defenders in the game. While not flashy offensively, Reese’s steadiness, physical edge, and situational awareness make him a valuable top-four defenseman capable of anchoring penalty kill units and stabilizing defensive pairings.
