  • 2026 NHL Draft Prospect Report – Martin Psohlavec (G)

    Psohlavec has been a favorite of mine throughout the season. His size and efficiency make him
    a reliable presence in the crease. In this game, his awareness stood out. He consistently
    gathered information and tracked the puck well, resulting in a controlled and composed
    performance. In previous viewings, I questioned his sharpness and reaction time, but that was
    not an issue here. He looked crisp and confident. The main limitation remains his top-end power
    and speed on longer pushes. While his efficiency and flexibility helps mask this at times, it
    becomes more evident when he has to cover larger distances. For that reason, he may not be
    among the top-tier goalie prospects, but he remains a lock on my draftables list.

  • 2026 NHL Draft Prospect Report – David Vermirovsky (G)

    Recently ranked third among international goalies by NHL Central Scouting, Vermirovsky clearly
    has traits that attract attention. He is not a traditionally polished technical goalie, but he brings a
    strong toolkit. His size and skating ability stand out, and in this game, his efficiency in the crease
    was particularly noticeable. His movements were calculated, and he used his lower body
    effectively to cover space with minimal effort. He stayed in position without over-sliding and
    used his frame well in the butterfly to take away space up high. However, puck tracking and
    reaction time remain concerns, particularly on his blocker side. He occasionally lost sight of the
    puck or reacted late, even without traffic. While I like his upside, I would not rank him as high as
    Central Scouting does. A selection around the fifth round feels more appropriate.
