Carey put together a strong offensive performance in North Bay’s win. He showed flashes of his creativity and was reward with a goal. He showcased his playmaking instincts and nice touch with the puck. His goal came off a strong play in which he drove to the net and positioned himself perfectly for a cross-crease feed and finished with ease. His timing and offensive awareness allowed him to capitalize on scoring chances when they developed. Offensively, he displayed nice hands and a deep toolkit of passes, highlighted by a slick through-the-legs pass that showed confidence and finesse. His vision and touch were consistent throughout the game, as he looked to involve teammates and move the puck efficiently in transition. His skating is smooth but did not stand out. Defensively, he was less assertive, appearing too relaxed at times when applying pressure on the back check or closing gaps. He was not engaged enough defensively which was evident throughout the game. There were multiple instances were his pace without the puck was not up to par. He has the awareness to anticipate plays but needs to play with more urgency and physical engagement. With his skill set he’s capable of supporting his defensemen effectively, but does not show consistence effort remains an area for development. His performance showcased his offensive instincts and playmaking creativity, with standout moments that highlighted his potential as a dynamic forward. His ability to find seems and distribute the puck were constantly on display. His finish around the net made him an offensive threat whenever he was involved. To take the next step, Carey needs to elevate his play without the puck and defensive intensity, ensuring he maintains pressure and engagement throughout all three zones. He projects as a skilled middle-six centre who can play on the powerplay, is capable of driving play and creating for teammates.

#13 LW Ihnat Pazii, North Bay Battalion (OHL), 5’9” 156lbs, L, DOB 12.04.2006
Pazii was a key offensive contributor in North Bay’s win over Saginaw He showcased his speed, shiftiness, and creativity with the puck. He mad his presence felt with a goal and a highlight-reel assist. He generates quality offensive opportunities throughout the game. His skating and edgework were on full display from the opening shift. His quick turns, shifty movements, and open-face skating allowed him to navigate traffic with ease and maintain control under pressure. He did a great job protecting the puck and fending off attackers despite his smaller frame. He used quick pivots and body positioning to keep opponents off him and maintain possession. Offensively, he was active and dangerous, especially on the power play. He scored a backdoor goal, positioning himself perfectly and finishing with a quick, accurate release. His confidence and timing made him a reliable option around the net. Later in the game, he created one of North Bay’s prettiest goals—driving the puck behind the net, fending off pressure, and delivering a one-handed backhand pass to a teammate in the slot for a clean finish. The play highlighted his creativity, vision, and high-end puck control. Defensively, Pazii was responsible and active with his stick. He made several strong poke checks in transition and hustled back to support his defensemen. Though not overly physical, he competed well along the boards and used his agility to win positioning battles. Ihnat Pazii’s performance was dynamic and creative, combining speed, intelligence, and finesse to produce offensively in multiple ways. His ability to control tempo, protect the puck, and create scoring chances makes him a valuable offensive winger, particularly on the power play. With continued strength development and defensive refinement, Pazii projects as an energetic top-six winger who can contribute both as a scorer and a secondary playmaker.

#20 LW Arseny Pronin, North Bay Battalion (OHL), 6’2” 189lbs, L, DOB 05.16.2007
Arseny Pronin had a steady yet uneven performance in North Bay’s dominant win over Saginaw, displaying flashes of strong puck protection and vision, but also moments of overhandling and decision-making lapses. He continues to show tools that fit a power-forward style of play, though his execution remains inconsistent. Offensively, Pronin recorded an assist on the night, though it was not the result of a standout individual play. Throughout the game, he demonstrated good skating mechanics and acceleration, particularly in his ability to pick up speed quickly and maintain balance through contact. He was effective at using his size and frame to take contact and protect the puck, especially along the boards and during cycle plays. His vision and playming skills were noticeable, particularly on the power play where he attempted to create offense from below the goal line. However, that same aggressiveness led to a costly giveaway behind the net on the PP, as he tried to do too much with the puck before his teammates were able to recover possession. The play reflected both his confidence with the puck and his occasional tendency to overextend plays rather than make the simple decision. Defensively, Pronin was average—positionally sound but not overly engaged physically. He needs to be commit more to backchecking and appl more pressure to opponents. Nonetheless, his composure, puck control, and offensive instincts provide a solid foundation to build upon as he continues to mature. Arseny Pronin had a mixed outing, combining moments of smart puck possession and creativity with lapses in decision-making that limited his overall impact. His vision, puck protection, and skating stride give him the foundation of a reliable offensive winger, but simplifying his game—particularly on the power play—will be key to maximizing his effectiveness. If he can play with greater urgency and assertiveness off the puck, Pronin projects as a middle-six forward with offensive upside.

#4 LD Aaron Enright, North Bay Battalion (OHL), 6’0” 211lbs, L, DOB 03.28.2007
Enright played a complete, intelligent, and composed two-way game, excelling at both ends of the ice. The 18-year-old defenseman displayed excellent positioning, defensive awareness, and high-end hockey IQ, while also contributing offensively with a highlight-reel goal from the point. Enright’s confidence with and without the puck stood out all game. He made accurate, well-timed passes to initiate clean breakouts and consistently held the offensive blue line with strong reads and well-timed pinches. His ability to receive and distribute passes smoothly under pressure allowed North Bay to maintain offensive zone possession throughout extended cycles. Defensively, Enright was a steady presence. His positional play and active stick made him difficult to beat one-on-one, and he routinely disrupted passing lanes and denied entries. His edges and transitional skating—particularly when switching from forward to backward—were smooth and efficient, helping him maintain tight gaps on opposing rushes. He also brought an assertive physical element, using his strength to separate opponents from the puck and deliver timely hits without taking himself out of position. Enright’s offensive highlight came during a 4-on-4 sequence, where he jumped into space at the point, took a clean feed, and fired a perfectly placed wrist shot top-left corner for a goal. The play highlighted his accuracy and ability to willingness to shoot with confidence. His awareness on the power play also stood out, as he did a great job of quaterbacking his unit. He was able to hold the zone multiple times keeping the puck in with aggressive but smart plays at the blue line. Enright delivered a calm yet commanding performance, showcasing the skill set of a two-way defenseman with strong defensive awareness and offensive poise. His ability to read the ice, make smart pinches, and perform under pressure made him a key contributor in all situations. The goal from the point was the perfect exclamation point on a polished, all-around effort. Enright continues to project as a reliable top-four defenseman capable of playing heavy minutes in both even-strength and special teams situations.

#98 RW Nikita Klepov, Saginaw Spirit (OHL), 6’0” 180lbs, L, DOB 06.27.2008
Despite the tough 7–1 loss for Saginaw, Klepov provided one of the few bright spots offensively, scoring the team’s lone goal and displaying flashes of elite puck skill and offensive awareness. At 17, this winger showed excellent hands, skating control, and shooting touch — though his overall impact was limited by a lack of defensive urgency and discipline. Klepov’s goal came off strong offensive positioning and a sense for space — he parked himself backdoor and finished off a simple tap-in opportunity with composure. The finish itself was easy, but the timing and anticipation were precise, as he identified the lane early and made himself available for the pass. Throughout the game, he continued to show high-end puck skill, beating defenders smoothly in dekes and confident in tight areas. His one-timer was really a standout weapon offensively for Klepov, as he had both power and accuracy when given space. His open-face skating and strong weight shifting allowed him to stay balanced while adjusting to passes. He was also able to weave and dance around defenders due to his strong skating. His vision also stood out, as he made several sharp reads and found teammates through traffic. However, his game lacked that same drive in the defensive zone. While positionally sound for the most part, Klepov often stood still rather than engaging physically or pressuring puck carriers, which really diminished his overall two-way effectiveness. He took an undisciplined roughing penalty and reflected some frustration/lack of focus as the game slipped away. Klepov continues to show the tools of a skilled offensive winger who could develop into a top-line scoring threat. His hands, shooting ability, and skating control make him dangerous in open ice and on the power play, while his offensive IQ allows him to find quiet scoring areas. He’ll need to improve his defensive engagement and consistency away from the puck to reach the next level — making sure effort matches talent across all zones. He has the potential to be a top line offensive winger.
