Casey’s trademark explosiveness has clearly translated from the USHL to the WHL. Every movement he makes is crisp, efficient, and powerful. He’s one of the most electric goalies eligible for the 2026 draft. Beyond his athleticism, I was impressed by his puck tracking. He saw pucks all the way into his body, controlling rebounds effectively. I didn’t see him bobble a single shot to the chest or glove. However, his extreme quickness sometimes leads to positional inconsistencies, leaving holes for shooters. For example, his RVH transitions are fast but not always sealed properly. He’ll need to refine that consistency to round out his game. Even with those details to polish, Casey projects as a draftable prospect, likely in the mid-rounds of the 2026 draft.
